EMP CABS operates primarily in Kent and Greater London areas, including Canterbury, Ashford, Dover, and Maidstone. We provide services to all major London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, and London City), as well as long-distance travel to any UK destination with pre-booking.
Yes, all our drivers are fully licensed and insured private hire drivers. They undergo comprehensive background checks and are experienced professionals who know the local areas well. We maintain high standards of professionalism and safety.

- For local journeys, we can often accommodate bookings with as little as 15-30 minutes notice, depending on availability. However, we recommend booking at least:

- navigate_nextLong-distance journeys: 24 hours in advance
- navigate_nextPeak times & holidays: Several days in advance if possible For the best availability and service, booking in advance is always recommended, especially during busy periods.

- Yes, you will receive a confirmation of your booking. Depending on how you booked:

- navigate_nextPhone bookings: The booking details will be confirmed verbally and via SMS

Airport Transfers
We monitor all flight arrivals, so we're aware of any delays. Your driver will adjust the pickup time accordingly to ensure they're there when you arrive. There's no additional charge for flight delays - our waiting time begins after you've collected your luggage and cleared customs.
We provide 30 minutes of free waiting time for airport pickups, which starts from your actual arrival time, not your scheduled arrival time. This gives you ample time to collect your luggage and clear immigration.
For airport pickups, we provide a meet and greet service. Your driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall with a name sign. If you've provided your mobile number, the driver will also contact you upon your arrival.

- The amount of luggage depends on the vehicle type:
- navigate_nextStandard Sedan: 2-3 standard suitcases plus hand luggage
- navigate_nextEstate: 4-5 standard suitcases plus hand luggage
- navigate_nextMPV/Minibus: 6-8 standard suitcases plus hand luggage If you have large or unusual items (like sports equipment, musical instruments, etc.), please let us know when booking so we can ensure the appropriate vehicle is provided.
We recommend booking your airport transfer at least 24-48 hours in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak travel times. However, we understand that plans can change, and we'll do our best to accommodate last-minute bookings when possible.
- When scheduling your pickup time for a departure flight, we recommend allowing:

- navigate_next3 hours before departure for international flights
- navigate_nextAdditional time during peak travel periods We'll always factor in traffic conditions and journey times when suggesting pickup times.
- We provide transfers to and from all major London airports, including:

Payment Information
- We accept the following payment methods:
- navigate_nextCash: Payments can be made directly to the driver
- navigate_nextCredit/Debit Cards: We accept all major credit and debit cards in the vehicle Please note that all payments are made directly to the driver at the end of your journey. We do not offer online payment options at this time.
- Our prices are calculated based on several factors:
- navigate_nextDistance between pickup and drop-off locations
- navigate_nextEstimated journey time (including traffic considerations)
- navigate_nextTime of day (night journeys may have a small surcharge)
- navigate_nextVehicle type required For airport transfers and longer journeys, we provide fixed prices so you know exactly what you'll pay before your journey begins. For local journeys, we use metered fares based on distance and time.
- Our pricing is transparent, but there may be some additional charges in specific circumstances:
- navigate_nextWaiting time: After the free waiting period (30 minutes for airports, 15 minutes for other pickups), waiting time is charged at £15 per hour
- navigate_nextNight surcharge: For journeys between 22:00 and 06:00, there may be a small surcharge of £10
- navigate_nextAdditional stops: Extra stops during your journey may incur additional charges We will always inform you of any potential additional charges when you book or before they are incurred during your journey.
Tipping is not expected but is always appreciated by our drivers if you're satisfied with the service. The standard tipping rate in the UK is around 10% of the fare, but this is entirely at your discretion.
